Dementia and Healthy Ageing

My early career was focused on dementia and mild cognitive impairment at a number of institutes:

  • Llandough Memory Clinic, Cardiff as a Research Assistant on a number of commercial and academic clinical trials, and conducting psychometric assessments in a memory clinic.
  • King’s College London, Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IOPPN) leading a team of researcher on a number of studies including a longitudinal biomarkers study and brain donation programme
  • Brain and Mind Research Institute, Sydney University, as a research assistant on a number of studies on Alzheimer’s Disease and Parkinson’s Disease

These experiences have given me a deep understanding of different research methods, such as clinical trials and longitudinal research, and skills in working with individuals with particular needs such as memory loss, frailty and emotional and personality changes.
